Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This page explains what Sports Desk does with information about visitors. We keep this deliberately small.
What we store in your browser
The site uses cookies and local storage for three narrow purposes:
- A/B group assignment โ remembering which variant of a layout test you saw, so the page does not change between visits
- Frequency capping โ limiting how often pop-up style ad units can trigger in one session
- Dismissed notices โ so a notice you closed stays closed
These values stay in your browser. They are not uploaded to us and are not linked to anything identifying.
Technical logs
The site is served through a content delivery network whose operator records standard request logs (time, path, referring domain, network address). We use these for availability monitoring and abuse investigation only.
Aggregated news content
Headlines and summaries shown here are fetched from publishers' public news feeds by our server. Your browser does not contact those publishers until you click through to read a full article, at which point their own privacy policies apply.
Third-party advertising
Advertising is delivered by third-party ad networks. Those networks may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve, measure, and cap advertising under their own policies. We do not control those technologies. We recommend reviewing the relevant network's privacy policy.
External links
Every story links to an external publisher. Those sites have their own privacy practices, for which we are not responsible.
Children
This site is a general-audience sports news service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
You can manage or clear cookies through your browser settings, and adjust personalised advertising preferences through industry opt-out tools. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.
